Description
Take a look at the Albino and Preto YW Essential white gi, a BJJ gi that pairs a practical cut and details you notice on the mat. Albino & Preto releases regular graphic pieces, and Albino and Preto YW Essential white gi is a versatile options in that line-up. Here is a full breakdown, from materials to fit and aftercare, and without overcomplicating things.
A Closer Look at the Albino and Preto YW Essential White Gi
Because the body is cotton, it delivers that classic grippy texture that suits both drilling and live rounds, a highlight of the YW Essential white gi. Reinforced stitching in the high-wear areas helps it survive constant grip fighting without adding extra weight. White works well for most academies, and it rarely clashes with team colours.
How It Performs
Two-hour sessions show where a good gi earns its keep, and the YW Essential white gi stays comfortable all session without worrying about wear. Expect a jacket that holds its shape even after hard grip fighting and that is what regular trainers need.
Both pieces come as a matched pair, so the proportions stays balanced top to bottom wearing the YW Essential white gi. The collar, sleeve length and pant fit decide how much grip your partner gets; here they are set up for regular training.
Pair it with a fitted rash guard on hot days, and tie your belt snugly so the jacket stays closed. Kids as well as adults alike train better in gear that fits properly, and that is why sizing matters.
Team patches can be added for team colours, so Albino and Preto YW Essential white gi fits your academy. The skirt and side vents see heavy use during guard work, so strong stitching there makes a difference.
Albino and Preto YW Essential White Gi Sizing and Fit
There are 22 sizes for the YW Essential white gi: M00, M0, M1, M2, M3, A00F, A0F, A1F, A2F, A0, A0H, A1, A1H, A1L, A2, A2H, A2L, A3, A3H, A3L, A4 and A5. With the YW Essential white gi, M sizes cover kids, while the A sizes are adult fits with the letter variants listed above; see the size guide on this page for the measurements behind each one.
Taller grapplers with long limbs often like a long cut, while stockier builds often prefer the H variants. The fit is athletic rather than baggy, which looks neat in class before you check out.
Keep It Fresh
Cold water is kinder to the fibres far better than hot water, and it also helps the fabric keep its body. Happily, skip the dryer and fabric softener; both break down fabric and can change the fit over time. Chlorine bleach eats into cotton fibres over time, so it is best avoided, even on white kit.
