Shoyoroll Dove BJJ Gi: Design and Construction

Because the fabric is cotton, you get a natural, absorbent feel that traditional gi players expect. A pearl weave jacket keeps the weight manageable while still resisting grips. The trousers are ripstop and the grid weave stops small tears from spreading.

It is listed as pre-shrunk, meaning the fit out of the bag is much closer to the fit you keep. Reinforced stitching at the stress points helps it survive hard guard passing, one strength of the Quick Strike II Dove grey gi. For competitors, the Quick Strike II Dove grey gi is described as IBJJF compliant; still, check the current rulebook before entry closes.

Grey is a practical choice for most gyms because it rarely clashes with team colours.

Who It Suits

Expect a cut that stays tidy after repeated washing and that is what regular trainers need. Positional sparring, competition rounds and technique drilling each test a gi differently, and Shoyoroll Dove BJJ gi copes with every one.

Lapel thickness slows down lapel grips, so the Quick Strike II Dove grey gi gives opponents less to work with. Cuff width is important for grip fighting, and this cut sits neatly at the wrist.

Keep It Fresh

A cool wash is kinder to the weave better than hot water and it helps the fabric keep its body. During heavy training weeks, give it a quick rinse between sessions and wash it properly at night, which also helps the fit stay true. Mat burn and sweat build up quickly and a wash after every session keeps things fair for your training partners.
