Description
Take a look at the Shoyoroll Mamba Competitor kids BJJ gi, a BJJ gi that brings together a confident design and hard-wearing construction. Shoyoroll is famous for limited batch releases, which means Shoyoroll Mamba Competitor kids BJJ gi is the kind of piece regular trainers keep an eye on. We cover what it is made of, the size range and washing below.
Shoyoroll Mamba Competitor Kids BJJ Gi: Features and Build
The jacket is made from cotton, which means it soaks up sweat instead of turning slick without feeling flimsy. A pearl weave top keeps the weight manageable without giving up durability. Ripstop pants dry quickly and handle knee-heavy guard work.
The listed fabric weight is 450 GSM, a useful number if you compare gis by weight. Key seams are reinforced which means the knees and seams get extra support, one highlight of the Kids Mamba Competitor gi. The drawstring keeps the pants secure when the pace picks up.
A tapered cut keeps the silhouette neat. Stitched embroidery brings a premium finish to the design. The original listing describes it as following IBJJF uniform standards, but always check the latest rulebook ahead of time.
Batch 83 is the drop where the Kids Mamba Competitor gi was released so numbers are small.
Who It Suits
Positional sparring, hard rounds and technique drilling all test a gi differently, and Shoyoroll Mamba Competitor kids BJJ gi is cut to handle the lot. Guard players will appreciate the clean, tidy fit when the round gets busy.
A good gi needs to feel firm at the lapel but soft enough to wear for a full class, and the Kids Mamba Competitor gi gets that balance right. The jacket skirt and side vents take a beating from grips, so strong stitching there makes a difference.
Shoyoroll Mamba Competitor Kids BJJ Gi Sizing and Fit
The Kids Mamba Competitor gi comes in 22 sizes: M00, M0, M1, M2, M3, A00F, A0F, A1F, A2F, A0, A0H, A1, A1H, A1L, A2, A2H, A2L, A3, A3H, A3L, A4 and A5, giving options for kids through to bigger adults. For the Kids Mamba Competitor gi, the M sizes are for kids, while the A sizes are adult fits, including the F, H and L variants shown in the menu; check the size guide on this page for the measurements behind each one.
Taller grapplers with long limbs may prefer a long cut, and heavier builds often prefer the H variants. The fit is athletic rather than baggy, which gives opponents less to grab.
Aftercare
Gentle, unscented detergent does the job; strong products wear the fabric out sooner. Stubborn smells often mean sweat left too long in the fabric; a prompt wash solves most of it. A cool wash protects the weave far better than a hot cycle and it helps the fabric keep its body.
